How to get your flowers in bloom
It was a hot day in Bentleigh with temperatures reaching 40C and humidity dropping to 50%.
With the cool breezes, there were plenty of opportunities to get flowers into bloom, with the best times being the early morning.
Bentleigh resident Sarah Cavanagh found a sunny spot on the edge of her property to have flowers on her front lawn.
“It was just lovely,” she said.
While it was still very early in the season, Ms Cavanaugh said it was a good time to get the flowers into the ground.
“It’s a good chance to get a nice flowering bed of flowers, it’s just great to see them in bloom.”
