We love fresh roses, but we can also make our own.
From spring to autumn, we can make our way to the flower gardens of our hearts and the fragrant flowers of our gardens.

In our garden, we use rosemary and basil regularly as they are an excellent source of antioxidants and are very low in fat.

You will also want to use rosewater to add colour to your garden, which can be made by adding lemon, lemon juice or a bit of fresh rosewater.
You may also find rosemary in flower pots, and basil in a herb garden.

The rosemary can also be used to make a simple rose salad and for a delicious salad dressing.
Here’s how to make rosemary salad: In a large pot, bring the water to a boil and then add the rosewater, lemongrass and thyme.
Cook over a low heat for 5 minutes, then add a little lemon juice and toss to combine.
Add some freshly ground black pepper and salt to taste.
Add rosemary leaves and fresh rose buds.
Cover and cook over a medium heat for about 10 minutes or until the leaves are soft and the buds are tender.
Remove from heat.
Season with salt and pepper and serve.
Rosewater can also easily be added to the salad for a light salad dressing, and it can be served with a lemon and lemon juice dressing.
