NEW YORK (AP) When people flock, they don’t just want to be with friends.
They want to touch a beautiful flower.
When they’re not in a hurry to get there, they’ll just leave flowers behind.
The sea breeze is what’s drawing them.
They say it’s their most romantic moment of the year.
It’s also the time when they’re most at ease.
A growing chorus of scientists and celebrities are calling it the most beautiful moment of our lifetimes.
And for some, the bloom itself is just a matter of when.
“You just love to see the beautiful things in the sky,” said John Paul Anderson, a professor of atmospheric sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder who has studied the phenomenon.
“I think we all feel that way.”
For decades, scientists and oceanographers have debated whether the springtime bloom of wildflowers is a natural phenomenon.
There’s been little research into what causes the bloom, how often it occurs, or whether it’s a natural seasonal phenomenon.
It was only in the last decade that researchers realized that it’s also a natural process, said Richard Deacon, a marine ecologist at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts.
But for some scientists, the fact that springtime flowers are often in bloom and people are often on the move during that time of year doesn’t necessarily mean it’s natural.
The idea that the ocean and air can’t keep up with us is a misconception, said David Furlong, a climate scientist at the Carnegie Institution of Washington.
“There’s not a lot of research out there that goes into the question of why these blooms occur,” Furlink said.
“But it is a phenomenon that occurs naturally.”
It’s an event that can be caused by climate change, which makes the air, land and ocean warmer, said Michael Mann, a prominent climate scientist who runs the Climate Reality Project at Pennsylvania State University.
The warming of the ocean affects the way that plants and animals reproduce.
The warmer the ocean, the less oxygen there is in the water, making plants and algae more susceptible to disease.
“It’s really quite a complicated topic,” Mann said.
And it doesn’t just affect plants and plants produce less food when it’s too cold, which is what happens when temperatures rise.
Some scientists have proposed that the spring season’s blooms are a natural consequence of a warming planet.
But the theory doesn’t stand up to scientific scrutiny, said Seth Borenstein, a research scientist at Rutgers University who studies ocean cycles.
Borenfeld said there’s no scientific evidence that human activity is the cause.
“Climate change is not a major factor in the phenomenon,” Borenfeind said.
But even Borenwells assessment of the spring bloom isn’t perfect.
Some researchers, like Furlongs, have questioned whether it is possible to tell whether it has been caused by human activity, Borenfield said.
For example, the warmer air can also have a negative effect on blooms.
“In the long run, we have to assume that climate change is going to have a positive effect on bloom conditions,” he said.
While there’s been a push for more research into the bloom phenomenon, it hasn’t been without its detractors.
There are several groups, including environmentalists, who are against the concept of a spring bloom.
There is some evidence that a spring is an important part of spring and spring flowers are one of the things that spring brings to the U.S. and Europe, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
But those same researchers have also argued that the bloom is a myth and that there’s not enough research into how it occurs.
That leaves a void for some researchers.
“If you have people that are in favor of a warmer climate, but you don’t have the research, you have to think that it has to be some sort of hoax,” Bogen said.
The scientists that do have research say there’s a scientific consensus that the blooms do occur.
“When you look at the numbers of blooms, and you look, for example, at the number of days that bloom was there and the number that bloom is there, it was there almost every day for the last 10 years,” said Daniel Sperling, a geographer at the California Institute of Technology who studies climate and the atmosphere.
“That means it is very unlikely that there is a seasonal difference.”
But even with the latest research, many scientists still don’t think that spring blooms can be a natural occurrence.
They believe that the air conditions in the summer and fall are warmer and that the sea breeze can create an environment that makes it easier for plants to grow.
So far, no one has found a direct correlation between climate change and the spring blooming.
There have been some studies that have found that the winter air temperature is lower in the spring, which helps plants grow better, Sperlin said.
It may also be that spring flowers aren’t always as
